About

The Guinnevere Project is a peer-based service for families navigating the BC Coroners Service and/or the Criminal Justice System, due to the sudden death or homicide of their loved ones.

This project is based on my experience navigating the Criminal Justice System and the BC Coroners Service, after my daughter’s sudden death in 2015. Guinnevere died six days after she had gone to the police to report being sexually assaulted, and three days after the police had contacted a suspect.

Guinnevere was a mother and wife, and she struggled with a mental health disability.

The Guinnevere Project was licensed as a business with The City of Vancouver, in 2019.
